During the British rule in India, Mahatma Gandhi fought for the rights of his people.

He was the leader of the independence movement and ultimately believed in peace. Commemorated as a national holiday in India, October 3rd would have been his 148th birthday. To honor the day, here are 20 Gandhi quotes that we should all live by on this Monday morning.
