Knights Delight Fans, Win At Home Vs Jets
The Vegas Golden Knights are in control of their quest for the Stanley Cup in their inaugural season as they upended the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 last night before a sell out crowd at T-Mobile Arena. The Knights now lead the series 2-1 with game three Friday night at 5pm at T-Mobile. All the Knights have to do is win their remaining home games to advance to the Stanley Cup final against the winner of the Tampa Bay/Washington series. The Knights played inspired hockey in front of the home crowd and goalie Marc Andre-Fleury was outstanding again, making several crucial saves late in the game. Jonathan Marchessault scored for the Knights 35 seconds into the game and added an empty net goal with 2.6 seconds left for his second two goal game in a row. With a win before the home fans on Friday, the Knights can take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series and put serious pressure on the Jets, who are already feeling the heat. The Knights are playing great hockey and are ready to handle their business!
