MGM Resorts  are  living proof that Las Vegas is a community by helping  TSA agents affected by the partial shutdown of the federal government.

Today, chefs will deliver boxed lunches to agents who have been working without pay since December.

Chefs put together 700 meals for TSA workers at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas.  They will deliver those meals today in two shifts – once at 8 a.m. and again at 2 p.m.

The TSA has approximately 1,200 employees in Las Vegas. Most have not been paid since before the partial government shutdown began in December. Once the shutdown ends  TSA and other affected workers are expected to receive back pay for hours they worked.
