Derek Stevens’ New “Circa” Hotel Will Transform Downtown Vegas
Downtown Las Vegas has been under going a transformation over the past five years or so and one of the principals has been casino owner Derek Stevens. Stevens, a Detroit native, owns The “D” Hotel & Casino and the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino downtown. A couple of weeks ago, Stevens finally revealed the plans for his new downtown hotel and casino which will be called Circa. The hotel will be built on the site of the old Las Vegas Club hotel. It will be around 44 stories tall with 777 hotel rooms and suites and will be the first new hotel to be built from the ground up in downtown Vegas in decades. Construction is already underway on the project, which is scheduled to be completed in December of 2020. Stevens said that his new hotel will feature the largest sportsbook in Vegas, the longest outdoor bar on Fremont Street, a rooftop pool deck featuring six swimming pools, and an Uber and Lyft friendly “transportation hub,” which will be built across the street from the hotel on Main St. between the Plaza and Main Street Station. We can’t wait!
