Netflix is streaming the latest movie produced by Queen Latifah and Will Smith. Best of all, it crosses over Hip-Hop and William Shakespeare’s play Romeo & Juliet, according to Billboard.com.
However, there’s still no word on the debut.
The story takes place where Hip-Hop first started, New York. It follows the stories of a struggling waitress from the streets of Brooklyn and an aspiring musician, who comes from a wealthy family.
When the two meet it will be love at first sight and ultimately shows their tragic ending.
Solvan “Slick” Naim is directing the movie, he’s the director of the Netflix series It’s Bruno. Naim also is credited on some major projects like Baz Luhrman’s The Get Down, FX’s Snowfall, and Starz’s Power.
