The Las Vegas Aces showed they are serious about competing for the WNBA championship this season as they traded this week for last season’s leading scorer in the WNBA, 6 foot 8 inch center Liz Cambage. Liz played last season for Dallas and the Aces traded Moriah Jefferson, Isabelle Harrison, and a first and second round draft pick in 2020 to Dallas for her. Cambage averaged 23 points and almost 10 rebounds a game last season and she makes the Aces instant title contenders. Cambage hails from Australia and has played the majority of her career overseas, only returning to the WNBA last season after a three year hiatus. She was drafted number one in 2011 by the Tulsa Shock. The WNBA tips off its’ regular season on May 24. The Aces play their home games at Mandalay Bay and open at home on Sunday, May 26 against the L.A. Sparks.
