Las Vegas Aces forward and captain of the WNBA Western Conference All Star team A’ja Wilson sustained a sprained ankle in the Aces win over Minnesota on Sunday night and won’t play in the upcoming All Star game which will be held here in Vegas on July 27. Aces head coach Bill Laimbeer said that Wilson’s sprain is significant and she is expected to miss “a few weeks.” The Aces played last night without their star forward and rolled to a 79-62 win over Seattle at Mandalay Bay Events Center. The game was the Aces last before the upcoming All Star break and the team will return to action on July 30 when they play at home against the Dallas Wings. The All Star team captains traded coaches so Laimbeer will now coach Wilson’s Western Conference squad.
