After all of the drama surrounding wide receiver Antonio Brown, who gave the Raiders the shaft over the weekend, the team was in fine form last night as they won their season opener 24-16 over Denver. It was the final Monday night game for the Raiders at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum. Of course, the Raiders are moving to Las Vegas next season. The Raiders defense played a pretty good game, hounding new Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco at every turn and holding Denver’s offense in check. Offensively, Oakland got a good game from quarterback David Carr, who was 22 of 26 passing for 256 yards and a touchdown. Josh Jacobs ran for 85 yards and Tyrell Williams caught six passes for 105 yards and a score. The Raiders next game is on Sunday at home vs. Kansas City.
