LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - SEPTEMBER 24: Liz Cambage #8 of the Las Vegas Aces and Aerial Powers #23 of the Washington Mystics go after a loose ball during Game Four of the 2019 WNBA Playoff semifinals at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on September 24, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Mystics defeated the Aces 94-90 and won the series 3-1.

The Las Vegas Aces again battled back from a fourth quarter deficit and had a chance to tie the game with seconds left but Dearica Hamby’s nice look on a three point shot bounced up but not in and the Aces lost 94-90 to Washington, ending their season. Vegas lost the playoff series 3-1. The Aces, led by Liz Cambage’s 25 points and 12 rebounds, led by nine at the end of the first quarter but trailed by two at halftime. Vegas led by one after three quarters and battled Washington throughout the fourth quarter but couldn’t keep Elena Delle Donne and Emma Meesseman in check. Still, the Aces had a chance to tie the game. Trailing by three with the clock winding down, Hamby took a pass in the corner, shook her defender and got off a clean look at a game tying three pointer that bounced off the rim but didn’t drop. Hamby finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Kelsey Plum scored 17 for Vegas. Washington got 25 points from Delle Donne, 22 from Meesseman, and 20 from Kristi Toliver. NBA stars LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Draymond Green were among the crowd of almost 5,700 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The Aces now have a successful regular season and some playoff experience to carry them into next season.
