The Vegas Golden Knights blew a 4-2 third period lead last night and eventually fell 5-4 in overtime to the Montreal Canadiens at T-Mobile Arena. Vegas lead by two scores with 6:27 left in the game but Montreal scored on a power play and then scored again with two minutes left to send the game to overtime. Montreal scored only 37 seconds into overtime to send the sell out crowd home unhappy. Alex Tuch returned to the Knights’ lineup and scored two goals. Nate Schmidt also returned to the Vegas lineup. The Knights will host Winnipeg tomorrow night at 7pm at T-Mobile Arena before embarking on a four game road trip, starting next Tuesday in Columbus.
