Film and TV mogul Tyler Perry has made headlines in the past for doing some good in the neighborhood. Well, he’s done it again. Perry just revealed that he was the anonymous donor who paid for all the groceries during senior shoppers time at dozens of grocery stores in the New Orleans area. As seniors were strolling the aisles they were told that they were going to leave with shopping carts full of groceries and a $0 dollar bill at checkout, because the “Atlanta Angel” was picking up the tab.
At the time, Mr. Anonymous had committed to covering the cost of the seniors at 44 Kroger and 29 Winn Dixie stores. Initially Perry’s identity was kept under wraps, however, later – grocery store management confirmed that it was actually Tyler Perry indeed.
An Atlanta Kroger spokesperson said, “Senior and higher-risk Kroger shoppers in metro Atlanta did receive a nice surprise at the register this morning when they learned Tyler Perry had paid their grocery tab in full.
Ahhhhh yeah! Tyler Perry gets 10 Tacos on the Paco Taco scale…and now I’m hungry.
If you have kids at home, you know how sometimes its difficult to have a little alone time with your significant other. That’s what’s been happening for the past 13 years to Lee Lee and Ying Ying. Those are the two pandas who’ve been living at the Ocean Park Zoo in Hong Kong for over a dozen years and have been practicing social distancing their entire stay at the zoo.
During the COVID-19 quarantine, zoo officials decided it was time to put them together. And now, they’ve mated!
This move will likely help keep the species alive and put it on a path for avoiding extinction. Conservationists are rejoicing the move, and here’s why.
Pandas not only have a 24 to 72 hour fertility period per year, but, their libido is normally nearly non-existent. So when the two showed signs of attraction, it was cause for celebration.
Ocean Park Director of Zoological Operations Michael Boos said, “Since Ying Ying and Le Le’s arrival in Hong Kong in 2007 and attempts at natural mating since 2010, they unfortunately have yet to succeed until this year upon years of trial and learning,” he continued “The successful natural mating process today is extremely exciting for all of us, as the chance of pregnancy via natural mating is higher than by artificial insemination.”
All this makes you wonder with The Valley being under quarantine now for almost two weeks, if there is going to be a baby boom right after the first of the year. Ahh love is in the air!
