We all live here in the valley. We’re all Las Vegans. Whatever affects you probably is affecting us as well. Know that here at our parent company Beasley Media we’re mad, hurt, confused, and have questions about why incidents like George Floyd’s killing continue to happen. We’ve created a committee to investigate what we can do as a company both here in Las Vegas and throughout the country where we have stations in many major U.S. cities.

So in search of answers, yesterday, Sunday, May 31st Jammin 1057 stopped the music to talk to you and our community during an open forum. We shared how we felt about the George Floyd killing, why it happened, and more importantly what we can do as a community to stop these incidents in the future.

Joining us were Ward 5 City Councilman Cedric Crear, Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, LVMPD Captain Carlos Hank (Boldern Area Command), Pastor Kelcey West Nehemia’s Ministries.

We spoke with you and gave you a platform to vent, speak from your heart, be mad, ask questions, and share in intellectual discourse. Our community leaders had answers and in some cases questions as well. So, we shared potential solutions that we can explore moving forward.

That said, maybe YOU didn’t get you say what YOU wanted to say because you didn’t know it was happening, or couldn’t get through the Jammed phone lines.

So, we thought we’d give you an opportunity to share with us your thoughts, vent, ask questions we can share with our community leaders, and take suggestions that YOU may have that can help us be a force in creating a vehicle for change to happen.

Please leave your comments, thoughts, ideas, suggestions here and we’ll make sure we get them to the right people. Keep listening to Jammin 1057 for more Open Community Forums in the future also.

Thank you for your support.
