Looks we’ll see some baseball this summer. The Major League Baseball Players Association and major league owners have a tentative agreement on a 60 game season. Players would report to spring training on July 1 and the season would start on or around July 24. The players had previously rejected a proposal for a 60 game season. The new deal is not finalized yet. Players and owners have to agree on some health and safety issues. The 60 game schedule would feature teams playing only division opponents and interleague games against opponents in the same geographic region such as AL Central vs. NL Central. Decisions on the All-Star game and dates for the playoffs and World Series are still up in the air.
