The Clark County School District obtained a waiver from the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture that will allow it to bring back the free meals for kids program and extend it through December. Since classes started back, parents have had to show student’s ID when picking up meals and the family had to qualify for free or reduced price meals. With the free meal program coming back, parents can pick up both breakfast and lunch for their kids at the over 300 drive-thru school locations. Times vary with elementary schools passing out meals from 7am-10am, middle schools from 10am-1pm, and high schools from 11am-2pm. More info and a complete list of which schools are pick up locations is at ccsd.net. Again, the majority of Vegas area elementary, middle, and high schools are participating.
