It wasn’t easy but led by star forward A’ja Wilson in the games waning moments, the Las Vegas Aces ended their Western Conference semifinal game on an 8-0 run and defeated Connecticut 83-75. The game was tied with about a minute to go before Wilson hit a driving shot and was fouled and made the free throw. On the ensuing possession, Wilson hit another driving shot and was fouled again. She missed the free throw but Dearica Hamby grabbed the rebound and scored, giving the Aces a seven point lead with 27 seconds to go. Wilson finished with 29 points, seven rebounds and a franchise high seven blocked shots. The best three out of five series is now tied at 1-1 and game two is Thursday at 4:30pm in Bradenton, FL.
