Raiders Underwhelming In Loss To New England
The Las Vegas Raiders, sitting pretty at 2-0, couldn’t get out of their own way on Sunday and fell to New England 36-20 in Foxboro, MA. The Raiders did themselves in with three fumbles and untimely penalties at crucial moments in the game. Vegas got on the board first with a field goal but New England answered with 13 straight points. Raiders QB David Carr tossed a scoring pass to Foster Moreau right before halftime to pull within three at 13-10. New England led 23-10 going into the fourth quarter. The Raiders got a field goal around midway through the fourth quarter to pull within 10 at 23-13 but New England answered with a scoring run by Rex Burkhead with about five minutes to play and recovered a David Carr fumble in the end zone on the Raiders next possession to go up 36-13. David Carr hit Hunter Renfrow with a 13 yard TD pass with less than two minutes to go for the final margin. The Raiders now get to host unbeaten Buffalo next Sunday at 1:30pm at Allegiant Stadium.
