The UNLV football team hoped for better results in their inaugural game in their new home, Allegiant Stadium, on Saturday. The Rebels proved to be no match for upstate rival UNR as the Wolfpack took possession of the Fremont cannon with a 37-19 win. The game was played with 2,000 fans in attendance. UNLV’s defense had no answer for UNR’s passing attack and didn’t fare well against the run either. The Wolfpack gained 350 yards through the air and ran for another 147. The Rebels had 348 yards of total offense. UNLV fell to 0-2 under first year coach Marcus Arroyo. The Rebels next game is Saturday at Allegiant Stadium at 12:30pm vs. Fresno State.
