Jammin’ 105.7 & DJ Thump take today to celebrate the life and legacy of Dorothy Height!
Height is hailed as the “godmother of the women’s movement.” With her vast knowledge in education and social work Height pushed the women’s rights movement forward.
She was one of many present during the 1963 march in Washington D.C. where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have A Dream” speech. Height passed away in April 2010 at the age of 98.
