After a pretty good performance against Air Force in the opening round of the Mountain West tournament, the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels started strong against Utah State but fell apart in the second half and lost 74-53, ending their season. The game was tied at 24 at halftime as the Rebels held their own against the second seeded Aggies but the second half was a different story as Utah State outscored UNLV 50-29. Bryce Hamilton led UNLV with 16 points. The Rebels finished the season with a record of 12-15. UNLV will go into the offseason with questions surrounding the roster and the future of second year head coach T.J. Otzelberger who so far has a record of 29-30.
