UNLV men’s head basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger is leaving the team after two seasons. Otzelberger is reportedly taking the head coaching job at Iowa State. UNLV was ousted last week from the Mountain West conference tourney in the second round by Utah State. Otzelberger leaves the Runnin’ Rebels having compiled a record of 29-30. Otzelberger has previously been an assistant coach at Iowa State for a total of eight years. Before coming to UNLV Otzelberger was the head coach at South Dakota State where he had a record of 70-33 and made two NCAA tournaments. UNLV will now be looking for it’s sixth head coach in 10 seasons.
