Shock G, the frontman of the hip hop group Digital Underground, was found dead on Thursday at a hotel in Tampa, FL. He was 57 years old. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Dept. confirmed his death and no cause of death has been given yet. Shock G’s real name was Gregory Edward Jacobs and he was best known for his “Humpty Hump” persona, complete with dark rimmed glasses, a fake nose and a fur hat as he rapped the lyrics to Digital Undergrounds biggest hit, “The Humpty Dance.” More on this story as details become available.
