Knights Get OT Win Vs Minnesota
The Vegas Golden Knights got a measure of revenge on Wednesday night in Minnesota, beating the Wild 3-2 in overtime. Minnesota has had the Knights’ number recently, going 6-0-1 against Vegas on their home ice all time. The Wild rallied from 5-3 down on Monday to beat the Knights and had won the last three games against Vegas. Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo scored the winning goal for the Knights, who again watched Minnesota tie the game at 1-1 late in the third period and then take the lead. Reilly Smith tied the game for the Knights with about four minutes to go in regulation. The win moved goalie Marc-Andre Fleury into third place on the all time wins list with 490. Vegas has four games left in the regular season and will open a two game series against St. Louis on Friday night at T-Mobile Arena.
