Plaza Hotel To Celebrate 50 Years With Fireworks

The Plaza Hotel downtown will celebrate its’ 50th anniversary in conjunction with the 4th of July by offering three straight nights of fireworks July 2-4. The Plaza opened on July 2, 1971. The fireworks displays are still being choreographed but will launched from various rooftops, locations, and towers. A variety of room packages will be offered by the property as well as a holiday promotion on private cabana rentals and bottle service at the pool.
Syd "Mr. Syd" Gaddy is the midday host, 10am-2pm on KOAS, "Jammin’ 1057." Syd has been with Beasley for 10 years and just last September was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. "Mr. Syd" has been in the broadcast industry for over 24 years working as on-air talent, public service announcement coordinator and as a program director. Syd is a sports fanatic and works part time for the local Vegas newspaper in the high school sports department and loves to focus his posts on local Vegas sports teams and happenings.
