Southwest Airlines is now offering non stop flights from Las Vegas to Hawaii. The carrier is offering twice daily flights to Honolulu and to Maui. Previously, travelers wishing to fly Southwest to Hawaii from Vegas had to fly to L.A., San Diego or other California locations first. The flights from Vegas to Honolulu will be a little over six hours going and around five hours and 45 minutes coming back and will be flown on 175 passenger Boeing 737 Max 8 jets. The flights to Hawaii will be during daylight hours so travelers will have time to get to their hotels when they reach the islands. McCarran Airport has been working to help accommodate the new flights with an expansion of the “C” gates.
