There is a new mask mandate for Las Vegas beginning this week. The Valley has become a COVID hot spot as new cases are surging nation-wide.
The mandate will largely focus on unvaccinated persons and people working in supermarkets, restaurants and malls. Employees will be required to wear masks even if they’re vaccinated.
The Southern Nevada Health District is also recommending that even persons who are vaccinated begin wearing masks again to be on the safe side.
The mandate takes effect July 22nd and will be in effect until August 17th when the mandate will be reevaluated.
