Main Street Station Set To Reopen
One of the last hotel/casinos that closed up during the height of the pandemic is set to reopen. Boyd Gaming announced that it’s downtown property Main Street Station will reopen on Sept. 8. The property has been closed since March 2020. When it reopens, the property will have 24/7 operations although its’ two restaurants will close in the evening; the buffet will close at 9pm and the Triple 7 Microbrewery and restaurant will close at midnight. Main Street Station along with sister property the California Hotel and Casino which is right across the street, caters mostly to Hawaiian visitors. Syd "Mr. Syd" Gaddy is the midday host, 10am-2pm on KOAS, "Jammin’ 1057." Syd has been with Beasley for 10 years and just last September was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. "Mr. Syd" has been in the broadcast industry for over 24 years working as on-air talent, public service announcement coordinator and as a program director. Syd is a sports fanatic and works part time for the local Vegas newspaper in the high school sports department and loves to focus his posts on local Vegas sports teams and happenings.
