SZA Reposts Message About Kanye Allegedly Firing His Engineer
SZA has entered the chat on Kanye West allegedly unexpectedly firing his engineer for oversleeping.
A text message thread between Ye and his former engineer displayed the rapper’s ruthless business antics as he allegedly fired the engineer for missing a studio session because he was oversleeping.
Recently Ye’s engineer’s iCloud was hacked so allegedly this is how it went down, per HotNewHipHop:
“Good morning,” one text sent by Kanye said followed by “Let’s work.”
Two hours passed and Ye was fed up with not receiving an answer and informed the engineer he was fired, “Go home,” Ye added.
That’s when the engineer offered an apology for missing the previous texts and responded, “I’m really sorry. I have no excuse I set an alarm for 7:30 am. And for whever reason my phone wasn’t alerting me I woke up at 11:08 to missed calls and got dressed as fast as I could Lou was already in his way to get boogz and they just got here.”
“I didn’t call back right away cause I was in a panic trying to find a ride. I know this is unacceptable… I’m sorry,” the follow-up message read.
Despite being late to practically every single set he’s performed in the majority of his career, Kanye still apparently has a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness among his collaborators.
“Stop texting,” the rapper said then adding, “Go find God,” Kanye allegedly replied.
SZA cosigned Ye’s unpopular action as she reposted this message to her Instagram story: “You don’t get ‘off the grid’ quality of artistry without some extent of forced labor. Sacrifices have to be made for greatness. Everybody tiptoeing these days afraid to cross boundaries or to be exposed. But at the end of the day, your favorite song, your favorite shoe, your favorite garment, your favorite drink wouldn’t be created if everybody in the process was in a comfortable state. Labor takes its toll. Somebody at some point sacrificed something unwillingly for it. It’s not just the willing ones, sometimes we just need to dig our graves in order to feel alive.”
