Aces Are Conference Champs
The Las Vegas Aces finished the regular season on a strong note, winning their final two regular season games and ending with a four game winning streak. The Aces beat Chicago by 30 points last Friday and then topped Phoenix by one point on Sunday.
The Aces finished as Western Conference champions with a record of 24-8, a full two games ahead of second place Minnesota. Vegas also has wrapped up the number two seed for the upcoming playoffs and has a double bye. The Aces won’t play again until next Tuesday after the first two rounds of the WNBA playoffs which begin on Thursday.
Vegas welcomed center Liz Cambage back to the lineup in their win over Phoenix on Sunday. Cambage had been sidelined after testing positive for Covid-19.
Connecticut has the number one seed in the playoffs and a finals matchup between the Sun and the Aces is highly probable. The Aces made the WNBA finals last season but were swept in three games by Seattle.
