More people are shopping online than ever before and online retail giant Amazon is hiring thousands of workers throughout the state and especially here in Las Vegas to keep up with holiday shopping demand.

The company is looking to fill almost 7,000 positions statewide including close to 6,000 jobs in Las Vegas.

Available positions include stockers, pickers, delivery, shippers, quality control, and human resources. Both full and part time positions are available. According to vice president of global human resources Ofori Agboka, applicants will get a contingent job offer immediately and the jobs could last well into January or even into February. Many seasonal positions could turn into permanent positions.

Amazon recently opened a new 147,000 square foot distribution facility on the northeast corner of E. Owens Ave. at N. Las Vegas Blvd.
