The Vegas Golden Knights dropped a close game 3-1 on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena to the St. Louis Blues.
The game was tied at 1-1 well into the third quarter before St. Louis scored the eventual game winner on a three man rush. The Blues added an empty net goal when Vegas pulled goalie Robin Lehner in a last ditch effort to tie the game.
The Knights were without leading scorer Max Pacioretty and team captain Mark Stone, both out with injuries. Pacioretty could be out up to six weeks while Knights head coach Peter DeBoer says that Stone is “between day to day and week to week.”
William Karlsson scored the Knights lone goal in the first period and Lehner made 35 saves.
Vegas plays the second game of its’ three game homestand on Friday against Edmonton at 7pm at T-Mobile Arena.
