Knights Win Overtime Thriller
There’s nothing tougher than playing road games on back to back nights and that’s what the Vegas Golden Knights were up against last night in Dallas.
After beating the Avalanche on Tuesday night in Denver, the Knights were on the ice against the Stars less than 24 hours later. Vegas trailed 2-1 late in the third period but Jonathan Marchessault tied the game with one minute left and Evgenii Dadonov scored the game winner two minutes into the overtime period to send the Knights home as improbable 3-2 winners.
It was the Knights’ second win in a row after a four game losing streak and they improved their record to 3-4.
Shea Theodore tallied the Knights’ first goal in the first period and backup goalie Laurent Broissot got the start in place of Robin Lehner and played extremely well, finishing with 32 saves.
The Knights return home to play Anaheim tomorrow evening (Friday) at 5pm at T-Mobile Arena.
