Songstress Adele’s much ballyhooed 24 show residency at Caesars Palace was supposed to kick off tonight but the singer went on social media on Thursday to say that all of the shows were being postponed.

Adele said tearfully in the message that half of her crew, “her team,” had come down with Covid and that the show has also been impacted by delivery delays. She added in the 90 second video message that the show “just ain’t ready” and ended the clip by saying “I’m sorry.”

Adele’s residency has been the subject of much discussion due to the high ticket prices but ticket brokers have reported that the prices had been dropping before her announcement.

The dates are due to be rescheduled and Ticketmaster says that ticket holders can get a full refund. For people who traveled to Vegas catch opening night, Caesars Palace says that guests who booked rooms at their property can get a full refund as well and should check with their airlines to see if the can get their airfare refunded.
