The announcement by singer Adele late last week that all 24 shows of he “Weekends With Adele” residency at Caesars Palace were being postponed was met with surprise. Adele cited Covid among her crew members and supply chain issues, saying of her show, “it ain’t ready.”

Reports are now surfacing from multiple sources that one of the real reasons for the postponement is that Adele was unhappy with the set designs being put together by her set designer, Esmeralda Devlin. Devlin is a well known set designer, having put together sets for Beyonce, the Rolling Stones, and the Weeknd and she did the sets for Adele’s 2016 world tour.

Reports say that Adele had a major blowup during rehearsals for the show last week and lashed out at Devlin, at one point dismissing her completely from the production. Sources close to the show say that Adele was not happy with how the multi-million dollar set was turning out and made her feelings known to Devlin. A run through of the show last Wednesday didn’t go well and Adele made her announcement postponing the show last Thursday.

Caesars Entertainment maintains that the show will at some point be rescheduled.
