Last week’s NFL Draft was a huge success for Las Vegas according to multiple sources, including NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who called the draft “better than perfect.”

The draft ran from last Thursday through last Saturday and over 300,000 football fans showed up over the three days to take in the festivities. The economic impact to the city hasn’t been determined yet in dollars but is expected to be quite substantial.

Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak said that having the draft in Las Vegas after a two year wait was “a winning situation for all involved.”

Las Vegas Metro police reported no significant incidents over the three days of the draft.

The Las Vegas Raiders didn’t have a pick until the third round of the draft and selected offensive lineman Dylan Parham from the University of Memphis. The Raiders then took running back Zamir White from Georgia with their fourth round pick.

Many observers considered having the draft here in Vegas served as kind of a dry run for the Super Bowl, which’ll be held here in 2024 at Allegiant Stadium.
