If you should happen to be feeling lucky today you can do one of two things. Since we live in Las Vegas you can go to your favorite casino and try your luck at your favorite game. Or you can take a short drive across the border to California to the west or Arizona to the east and purchase yourself some Mega Millions or Powerball lottery tickets, maybe even some of both.
The Mega Millions jackpot for tonight’s drawing is up to $71 million after no one won Tuesday’s drawing. The Powerball jackpot has reached $51 million ahead of Saturday night’s drawing. The Mega Millions numbers are drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays while the Powerball numbers are drawn three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Earlier this week the $473 million Powerball jackpot that had a winning ticket sold in Gilbert, Arizona was claimed by a couple who chose to remain anonymous.
Of course Nevada doesn’t have either lottery game. Las Vegas residents that want to purchase lottery tickets have to take a relatively short drive down to either Primm or over onto Arizona.
Good luck if you decide to do so but remember, you have a greater chance of being struck by lightning than you do of winning either jackpot!
