The Las Vegas Aces improved their record to 5-1 on Thursday night with a 93-87 win over Minnesota at Michelob Ultra Arena. Jackie Young scored 25 points and teammates A’ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray added 17 points each. Six players scored in double figures for Vegas.

Former Aces head coach Bill Laimbeer was on hand to celebrate his 65th birthday and be honored by the team as he is retiring completely from the game.

The Aces continue their homestand with a 12 noon matinee on Saturday vs Phoenix. Former Aces center Liz Cambage returns to town on Monday with her new team, the L.A. Sparks. Game time is 7pm.
