Jennifer Coolidge poses with the award for Best Supporting Actress - Television Limited Series/Motion Picture for "The White Lotus" in the press room during the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton on January 10, 2023 in Beverly Hills, California.

If you haven’t watched Jennifer Coolidge’s latest work with HBO’s The White Lotus series, you are seriously missing out on comedic gold. Last night’s Golden Globes ceremony not only confirmed Coolidge’s amazing work as an actress; she also provided funniest moments of the night. After Coolidge, 61, won Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series, she asked if she could set down her trophy. As she set it down on the stage floor, she told the laughing crowd, “I don’t work out, you know what I mean? I can’t hold it that long.”

In between jokes, the actress held back tears. “There were like five people in this room that kept me going for, you know, 20 years with these little jobs.” Calling out Ryan Murphy, Coolidge looked around and said, “Well, who else was there? It was just you, Ryan!” Coolidge has starred in Murphy’s Nip/Tuck as Candy Richards and most recently, in the Netflix sensation The Watcher. Then addressing one of her most famous roles as Stifler’s mom in the American Pie franchise, Coolidge said of the sequels, she “milked that to the bone,” but if they’re still going for #6 and 7, “whatever they want, you know?”

Coolidge took a moment to shout out White Lotus writer and producer, Mike White, who was very emotional about her kind words about him. “I just want you all to know that I had such big dreams and expectations as a younger person, but what happened was they, you know, they get sort of fizzled by life or whatever. And you know, I thought I was going to be Queen of Monaco, even though someone else did it. But I had these giant ideas and then you get older and you’re — oh, s— it’s not going to happen anymore.” She continued, “Mike White, you have given me hope. You’ve given me a new beginning. Even if this is the end, because you did kill me off, but it doesn’t matter. Because even if this is the end, you’ve changed my life in a million different ways. My neighbors are speaking to me and things like that! I was never invited to one party on my hill, and now everyone’s inviting me! I just — you know, it’s to you, Mike White.”

“This is something all of you, if you don’t know Mike White, this is what you should know: He’s worried about the world, he’s worried about people, he’s worried about friends of his that aren’t doing well, he’s always worried about people, you’re worried about animals, and he really is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. He gives me so much excitement to be — you make people want to live longer, and I didn’t. So anyway, I just want to say: Mike White, f—, sorry no, Mike! I love you to death.” Concluding her amazing speech with one more expletive, Coolidge says, “This is one f—ing fun night! Thank you! Thank you!”
