Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams Is Off The Hook
Davante Adams may have dodged a bullet. Mama has always said, “keep your hands to yourself!” And I believe Adams have learned that lesson.
The Raiders have truly seen enough adversity within the last decade. As a matter of fact there has been a total of 19 arrest in the past 15 years. We all remember when Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III plead guilty in a 2021 high speed crash that killed a woman and her dog.
In November 2021, the Raiders dropped Damon Arnette after a video of Arnette went viral where he is seen showing off a gun and threatening to kill someone. Arnette was detained at Clark County Detention Center in January of 2022, after a report of a person with a gun was reported at the Park MGM Hotel and Casino.
In a road game against the division rivals Kansas City Chiefs, Raiders wide receiver Davonte Adams pushed photographer Ryan Zebley to the ground and caused “bodily injury,” while walking off the field after a close 30-29 loss.
Adams did not get arrested but misdemeanor assault charges were filed. Zebley, was a freelance cameraman who was working for ESPN during “Monday Night Football.” He claimed to have suffered whiplash, headaches and a possible concussion.
Zebley filed a civil lawsuit against Adams, the Raiders, and the Chiefs, among others over the incident. Zebley said in the complaint that he was diagnosed with a concussion and feared for his life following the incident.
Prosecutors have droppedagainst Davante Adams who later apologized to Zebley and tried to reach out to him via social media. However, The lawsuit filed in Jackson County Circuit Court is ongoing.
Now that the misdemeanor charges have been dropped, let’s hope Davante Adams and the raiders can focus on staying out of trouble, and focus on winning games! No more distractions, excuses or bad decisions. Let’s stay “Committed To Excellence!”
