The Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Break Down
The boxing world is full of whispers and accusations after the news broke that Jake Paul, aka The Problem Child, allegedly tried to weasel his way out of his upcoming fight with Iron, Mike Tyson. I was hanging at the local sports book in Las Vegas and heard talk circulating that Paul’s team attempted to pull off a classic.
Jake Paul’s Injury May Cause The Fight To Be Cancelled
Rumors have flooded social media with reports of Paul training with a heavily bandaged hand. Allegedly, he suffered a freak training accident and the fight may be called off. However, this attempt at playing the sympathy card seems to have backfired tremendously, as rumors are now spreading that he was just scared.
Perhaps Jake Paul has realized he bit off a little more than he can chew by taking on a fight with Mike Tyson! We already reported about the video that surfaced of Tyson’s aggressive training. Not to mention his personal message to Jake Paul, “Do you still want to f— with me!” It makes a lot of sense as to why Paul would want to pull out of this fight. But it’s a little too early to back out due to a hand injury, even if it is valid (you gotta do better than that Mr. Problem Child).
Boxing fans noticed that just days after he allegedly hurt his hand, Paul was back to filming and throwing punches. This added fuel to the fire of suspicion about faking the injury, considering how quickly Paul’s hand seemed to heal.
With a noticeably less dramatic hand wrap in this YouTube video, obviously his injury was as fake as a three-dollar bill.
The Purse, The Payday
According toĀ mirror.com, Mike Tyson will earn $20 million in this fight. Jake Paul has not leaked how much he will make in this fight, but rumor (also from the local sports book) has it that Jake Paul will get $30 million. If it’s true, there’s no way Mike Tyson should be getting the lesser of the purse. Let’s face it, Jake Paul has never drawn the crowd that Mike Tyson has.
