Rockstars Teaching Las Vegas Youth How To Succeed
Rockstars are not born. They are made. And without the proper training, they end up being couch musicians. Music is definitely what feeds the soul. I took music lessons at a young age and now I have mastered five instruments. Even though I wanted to play football, somehow my love for music overpowered everything else.
It was very difficult at times but the older I got, the more my passion for music grew. I was placed in artist development classes, which taught me how to become a musician. So I know it takes hard work, dedication, and, of course, a bomb instructor.
Rockstars Of Tomorrow Teaches Las Vegas’ Youth Today
Just recently, I came across a place here in Las Vegas called Rockstars of Tomorrow. A place where they educate, teach, and train children to become successful musicians. They have 10 locations around the country and just recently opened one here in Las Vegas. While there, I sat down with owner Tommy Wright, who has been with the company for over five years, to learn more about this amazing place.
The studio offers free classes for youth, called “Little Rocker Classes” for children starting at four years old. They are taught rhythm and timing, which is an important foundation for any musician. As soon as they are old enough to get into private lessons, usually around six to nine years of age, they graduate to the “Jam Core” program.

In addition to fundamentals, the “Jam Core” program teaches the kids at least two songs that they get to perform live on stage in front of an audience of family and friends. Rock Stars of Tomorrow has a full performance venue for the kids to practice and play.

But the program doesn’t stop there. The next phase is called the “Band Core” program. This is where the children get the opportunity to perform outside the venue in front of a new audience of strangers. This skill teaches the kids to adapt to different environments as a musician.
Kids typically bond together in the “Band Core” program. And after graduation, they often want to keep playing together. That’s part of what drives the next program, called “Pro Band”. This stage of development teaches kids the fundamentals of managing themselves as a group. Classes include guidance with picking band names and logos, marketing, social media presence, and more.

Rockstars Of Tomorrow Teaches More Than How To Play An Instrument
Tommy talked about why they do so much more than just teach an instrument to these kids. He said, “we teach them how to be on stage so they can actually go somewhere with what they learned.” As a musician, I can tell you that is the key to success.
Rockstars of Tomorrow also has classes available for sound engineers, stage directing, audio recording, and now DJ classes.
When I was learning music as a kid, I had to deal with the old lady whose house smelled like old mothballs with an upright piano in her living room. Now these kids have a place to go that’s cool, fun, and entertaining at the same time. RockStars of Tomorrow gets my seal of approval.
