Las Vegas Hotels, Resorts Offer Discounted Room Rates For California Fire Victims
Many Las Vegas Resorts will support displaced victims of the California wildfires by offering discounted room rates.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Resorts World Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, Treasure Island Hotel & Casino, South Point Hotel Casino & Spa and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will offer discounted room rates for Californians who are escaping the fires.
News 3 said for Resorts World, the special rate can only be booked by phone. To book, “call (702) 676-7000 and mention the LA Support Rate.” The rate will be 35% off rooms. Treasure Island will be giving wildfire evacuees a $79 room rate now through Jan. 31.
“To book, residents must call +1 800.288.7206 and mention they are calling for this specific rate,” Channel 13 reports.
Virgin Hotels went even further – cutting prices in half and dropping parking fees for stays into February, The Las Vegas Review-Journal states. The new Fontainebleau is offering lower rates whenever rooms become available. At Treasure Island, evacuees from California can get rooms for just $79 through January. South Point got rid of resort fees and lowered prices until the end of the month.
Airbnb is also giving free and temporary shelter for those evacuating from the fires. They’ve teamed up with a local non-profit to connect people.
