Day 3 of our official Life is Beautiful Pool Party series meant that we brought out DJ Thump and the Baka Boyz to party at the pool.
The day consisted of putting the “cherry” on top of this weekend’s festival sundae. We basically brought the music, artists and played a lot of fun games with the attendees.
ALEXSUCKS, Wilderado, and Cannons stopped by to also join the party. We interviewed the artists and bands, and ALEXSUCKS also gave a performance to the party goers, who could be seen singing along while splashing in the pool.
The Baka Boyz — Eric and Nick — held it down! Along with the Thump, our favorite afternoon duo had a DJ set that ignited a feeling of energy and positivity across the pool, which made people dance and jam out.
It was the perfect way to end the weekend of 2023’s Life is Beautiful. The vibes were right, the artists elevated the party experience and Nick’s freestyling game was on point!
One of the best parts happened when DJ Thump played his famous “karaoke challenge.”
Thump picked a volunteer from the audience and then brought him to the front. He introduced the unsuspecting volunteer to the audience and explained the rules of the challenge. Thump said, “Alright, I’m going to give you a nursery rhyme, and you’re going to have to sing it back to me. But, you’re going to have to sing the rhyme back to me in a genre of my choosing.”
As the volunteer pondered for a second, Thump swung the bucket of High Noons back and forth, reminding him of the prize. Well, this convinced our victim of the evening, and he agreed.
Thump then said, “I’m going to need you to sing ‘Mary Had A Little Lamb’ but in the country version.”
The participant smiled, grabbed the microphone and said, “howdy,” to the crowd. This started a wave of encouraging cheer.
Our volunteer then sang a comedically beautiful rendition of “Mary Had A Little Lamb” in a pure country version. It was marvelous. Below is a video of that beautiful composition of DJ Thump’s “Karaoke Challenge.”
We had such a blast. It was a beautiful day that shined brightly with Vegas sun rays, the aroma of sunscreen and frozen margaritas wafted in the air and the music pulsated throughout the Citrus Grand Pool Deck. Scroll down below to see photos from our official Life Is Beautiful pool party!
