“As you may know, every weekend my wife and I go exploring to find places to go and things to do either in or near Las Vegas.
This past weekend I got the opportunity to go to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure to experience the new #MagicHappens parade as well as the #2020DisneyCaliforniaAdventureFoodandWine Festival.
Let me just say that it’s a short 45-minute flight to John Wayne Airport in the L.A. area and a 15-minute drive to the park. So within an hour, you could be at Disneyland.
We got there and rushed to the park to begin the fun…and it didn’t stop all day. If you get a chance to make the trip, do! You’ll LOVE the new Magic Happens parade, and your kids will love it even more! It incorporates many of the Disney characters, and their music.
You’ll find yourself singing along to many of the theme songs of the films your children LOVE! You’re also going to find yourself dancing to the music (with your kids). We don’t have young kids…but, STILL loved the parade. Let’s face it, if you’re at Disneyland, you’re still a kid at heart!
Though the Magic Happens parade was GREAT…there was still MORE to experience. The Food & Wine Fest…and WOW…did we eat some GREAT fare there!
From impossible (meatless) sliders to steak, shrimp or fish tacos, to exotic drinks, there’s something for anyone and everyone. We walked and ate and walked and ate…all day long!
The good news you’ll walk off a lot of what you eat!
The only advice I can give you is, if you’re a Star Wars fan, and plan to experience the new Star Wars Rise of the Resistance ride, download (for free) the Disneyland app, plan to get to Disneyland park first thing in the morning (before they open), get yourself a fast pass and as soon as you step into the park, get onto the “boarding group” list to ride Rise of the Resistance, or you won’t make the cut.
It’s an amazing interactive ride that everyone wants to ride, and everyone doesn’t get to. So, heed my warning Earthling!
All that…in addition to the staples that we all love…It’s a Small World (my mom’s favorite), Pirates of the Caribbean, and you’re in store for a tremendous experience!
Take a minute to check out my photo gallery, and check out the videos in case you’re curious about the events, or haven’t had a chance to see them yet.
This weekend just reinforced why Disney TRULY is the Happiest Place On Earth!”
