16-year-old Amirah Lov3 stops by the Jammin 1057 studio to share her dream with morning show host DJ Thump. Amirah is a young black confident up and coming R&B artist from the 702. She released her self-titled EP, ‘Amirah Lov3’ on August 24, 2022. There are five songs on the EP including:
- “What Are You Waiting For”
- “Tranquility”
- “Bumped Yo Head”
- “Gotta Be Love”
- “Will You Ever”
She’s receiving positive responses from peers and fans alike. Amirah released a music video for her title track, ‘What Are You Waiting For,’ You can find her music on all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and more.
DJ Thump asked Amirah, what were some of her struggles in getting to where she is today, she responded,”studying” she also followed up with you have to “study your craft” as an artist. Amirah is currently studying under International Recording Artist, Alli’ Starr and Karlos Farrar.
As an artist Amirah would like to diversify herself in many other art forms. Her freshman year in high school she joined the youth auxiliary group, Archonettes under Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. These strong young ladies give back to their community while creating a sisterhood. She also is apart of T.U.L.I.P.S. (Teaching and Uniting Ladies to Inspire Positive Success)
She talks about her experience with Broadway In The H.O.O.D (Helping Others Open Doors) which was founded by Mr. Torrey Russell and her role in the stage play ‘The Color Purple.’ She also opened for LV Got Talent, a local talent show hosted by DJ Thump where she performed her first single, ‘Little Brown Girl.’
She also expressed her excitement on being apart of The Las Vegas Hip Hop Entrepreneurship program led by Robert Strawder CEO and founder of Donna Street Community Center.
