My fellow adults may be horrified to learn that a trend among today’s teens is to refer to our childhood era as the 1900’s.

As much as that stings to hear aloud, the truth is that growing up in the ’80s and ’90s was for the most part, a blast.

We didn’t have the endless cable channel options there are today where just about everyone and anyone can get on TV. There were only a handful of terrestrial signals available on our clunky boob-tubes so to get your own weekly sitcom meant you had to have the right stuff.

Comedian Mark Curry proved he had all the makings of star with the debut of his hilarious ABC sitcom “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper” in 1992. The show helped launch the careers of quite a few notable actors and went on to have a successful five-year run.

Mark continued his reign on television making comedic appearances on “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “The Drew Carrey Show,” “Martin,” and Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” just to name a few.

Fast forward to today, Mark Curry tours his standup around comedy clubs all over the world and can be seen on his HBO special, “One Night Stand,” “Comedy Central Presents,” and HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.”

Earlier this year, Mark opened up for comedian Katt Williams as he filmed his standup special, “World War III” here in Las Vegas.

Mark Curry returns to Vegas this Friday headlining his own comedy show at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino. Listen to Jammin’ 105.7 to win free tickets or buy yours now by calling 866-712-9308 or 702-894-7722 or purchase online by visiting Treasure Island.

I had the pleasure of choppin’ it up with Mark via Zoom this week and you won’t believe his response when I point out that his show “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper” is about to celebrate its 30th Anniversary this fall.
