We’ve all been asked at one point or another as kids, “what do you want to be when you grow up?”. Parents often gleam with pride when their children respond with typical responses like, a fireman, doctor, astronaut, or baseball player.

It can be an even prouder moment when the child responds with the same profession as their parents.

Since there hasn’t been a real-life ‘knight’ since Maximillian I, the Holy Roman Emperor who died in 1519, we may not aspire to become knights but kids and adults alike remain fascinated with the armored warriors.

We love watching knights in movies, television shows, and even live entertainment such as Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in California as well as our own Tournament of Kings held at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino.

When the NHL voted to grant Las Vegas with an expansion team in 2016, co-owner Bill Foley settled on the name Golden Knights as an homage to the Army Black Knights, his alma mater at West Point. One year later, the Las Vegas Golden Knights started play for the 2017-2018 season.

Knights have become a household name of late with our Golden Knights currently facing off against the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals. Las Vegas skated to a 2-0 best-of-seven lead Monday night beating the Panthers 7-2.

With seemingly everyone talking about ‘knights’ lately, we put together this Top 10 list of our ‘Favorite Knights‘ and it includes everyone from Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, to our own local warriors, the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Kicking off the list is The Black Knight, who appears in the 1975 movie ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’ for only a few moments but who’s comedic lines have been recited over and over by fans throughout the years.

Watch the ridiculous scene below then keep scrolling to see if your favorite knight made the list.
