Thump In The Morning

Weekdays 5am - 10am Saturdays 2pm - 7pm

With the 2022- 2023 NFL season quickly approaching, there’s a lot of excitement brewing up on Social media. With the Hall Of Fame game scheduled for August 4 against The Jaguars, Pre-Season Kicking off exactly 10 days later against the Vikings at Allegiant Stadium  and the Raiders 1st season game against the revenge seeking Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood California, The expectations are high and it looks as if the Raiders are ready to surpass all expectations.

The Raiders signed not one, but two defensive players, The first was veteran safety Duron Harmon, who started multiple years for the Patriots. He gives the team another experienced safety to pair with Trevon Moehrig and Johnathan Abram.

The second signing is a bit more interesting. The team announced that they have signed free-agent linebacker Jayon Brown to a one-year deal.

Brown has played in 66 games for the Titans over the last five seasons, starting in 39 games. While has historically struggled as a run defender, he is one of the better coverage linebackers in the NFL.

Brown’s best season came in 2018 when he recorded six sacks as a part-time starter for the Titans. During that season, he totaled 10 quarterback hits, eight tackles for a loss and 97 total tackles. I always say,” Defensae wins Championships” and with this new powerhouse defense this season is looking very promising for the Raiders! on the other side of the ball adding Davante Adams, former Green Bay Packer WR to the roster is lighting up on social media. He has 669 catches for 8,121 yards and has scored 73 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 3 Pro Bowls and not to mention his childhood dream was to be a Raider. Now that dream has come true reuniting with his former team mate Derek Carr.  The two  played together at Fresno State from 2012 to 2013. Between them, they scored 39 touchdowns and racked up 3,037 yard
