Nevada Governor Orders All Non-Essential Businesses Closed
UPDATE:
Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak announced a statewide closure of restaurants, bars and other non-essential businesses for 30 days, beginning Wednesday at 12pm. It’s the state’s latest response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Non-essential businesses that will be affected by the closure include restaurants, bars, gyms, salons and malls, though restaurants will still be able to provide takeout and delivery service, but no in-restaurant dining will be allowed.
The move includes a limit on public gatherings that will affect casino operations throughout the state.
Essential businesses that will be allowed to remain open include grocery stores, airports, banks, postal service, hospitals, pharmacies and urgent care facilities, so long as they maintain appropriate social distancing and recommended hygiene practices. Professional offices, including those of lawyers, doctors, accounts and realtors, will also be allowed to remain open so long as desks are arranged to ensure maximum safety to workers.
