Knights Open Training Camp
The Vegas Golden Knights opened training camp on Thursday with high expectations for the upcoming season. As always, winning the Stanley Cup is the ultimate goal. After losing in the conference finals each of the last two seasons to teams that on paper didn’t come close to matching up with the Knights’ talent, the team has one goal…finish.
The team will look different this season with the departures of goalie Marc-Andre Fleury to Chicago and defenseman Ryan Reaves to New York. Robin Lehner is now firmly ensconced as the Knights’ number one goalie and he showed up to training camp noticeably lighter.
City National Arena was packed on Thursday with fans eager to see their team skate. Knights’ practices are open to the public but masks are required.
The Knights play their first preseason game on Sunday at T-Mobile Arena at 7pm vs. San Jose followed by a game vs. Colorado on Tuesday at 7pm, also at T-Mobile.
