Raiders Win Another OT Thriller, Stay Undefeated
Daniel Carlson kicked a 22 yard field goal as time ran out in overtime to give the Las Vegas Raiders a 31-28 win over Miami on Sunday in front of a packed house at Allegiant Stadium. With the win the Raiders are now 3-0 for the first time since 2002.
The Raiders led by eight points late in the fourth quarter after a Carlson field goal but let Miami drive the field on the ensuing possession which was capped off by a 1 yard touchdown plunge by Dolphins quarterback Jacoby Brissett with two seconds left. Miami then went for a two point conversion to tie the game and were successful, sending the game into overtime.
Las Vegas won the toss and took the lead in overtime on another Carlson field goal. Miami got a 50 yard field goal on its’ subsequent possession with 2:49 to go in OT. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr then smartly led the team down the field and into position for the game winning field goal. Carr finished the game 23-of-46 passing for 386 yards with two touchdowns.
The Raiders will once again be featured next week on Monday night football when they travel to L.A. for a division battle against the Chargers.
